The Wicked One

Forget cocaine and heroine; it’s little league. Venture into supernatural drug dealing by Satan: the products are the seven deadly sins, all laced with evil. As the only "fixes” that break everything up, meet the most loyal customers… the wicked (Proverbs 4:16).

Getting them addicted doesn’t take long. And they act accordingly: running when no one is pursuing them (Proverbs 28:1), and treating everyone’s disapproval like a seasonal allergy (Proverbs 11:23). What follows are episodes of withdrawal severe enough to be a Judas in every basic moral. Just stare are their stares for a moment; their eyes are constantly asking the environment, "got the stuff?”  Out to score strife and abominations, the wicked run towards a scene they see wise people running away from. After they elevate the incident, the wicked set off a smokescreen of social templates that prevent a deeper look into their dysfunctional ways. Here are a few:

"Well life  isn’t fair!”

"Get over it (for evil’s benefit)!”

"…And? ...And?”

"Whatever!”

"That’s just the way it is.”

"Anyway…”

Now if these sound bytes fail, you can count on a wicked person to suddenly become an architect. They’ll ‘measure’ their every fault so small, confirming the size in the argument. It sounds like this:

"Oh, that’s not a big deal.”

"Aw… come on. This is so small!

"You’re making this out to be such a huge ordeal!”

"Compared to ( X ), this is nothing!”

A wicked heart is like some sort of magic wand that can somehow turn a victimized girl into a tease, and a silent statement into someone "asking for it.” But as many magic tricks as they’re doing, nothing disappears. None of their plagues vanish. Their sins create Attention Deficit Disorder in all those meditating on the Word. Certainly Jeremiah was not alone when he asked, "Why do the wicked prosper (Jeremiah 12:1)?”

Here’s how it seems that way: they have a monopoly on politics. And they invest in traditions and diplomacy to use them as a shield. This way, when a righteous person calls them out, the good guy appears to be out of order, rude, unprofessional, or misinformed.

The wicked don’t really mind being called cowards. Fear itself is their dominatrix since they submit to it and enjoy it at the same time (Proverbs 10:24); but their values are too poor to pay for it; so they'll leave the innocent with the "check.” Wicked people stand confidently with their conscience muzzled, as justice tries to solve the riddles they create daily. And if that’s not twisted enough, they live in a justice bubble that goes POP whenever someone wrongsthem  ! Even a hypocrite is amazed to see these adult tantrums as they scream "no fair” to karma.

Now if you really want to confuse a wicked person, look at them and say "moderation.” That’s not in their vocabulary. Everything that gives them pleasure is done to the extreme. They overdose, overlook, overstate, overturn, they symbolize overkill … and they’re never  understood.

(Solve For X) Enough already! I’m here to fix their "fix” and offer a Heavenly drug called "love.” It lasts longer, and it doesn’t cost a thing. No side effects, no disapproval, no damage to the soul, no sin, and no peer pressure! One dosage fits all! This "stuff” is worthy enough to be God’s nickname (I John 4:8). Just say "yes” and recovery can begin.
